What we do | Bazooka Arts | Arts For Health & Well-Being

We’re passionate about the positive and transformative impact the creative arts can have on people’s lives.

Each year we run a vibrant programme of participatory arts and drama projects that focus on developing positive health and wellbeing.

We deliver accessible and inclusive high-quality creative arts workshops and events, in a safe environment that encourage people to relax and have fun. Working across a broad range of art forms we provide a specialised service, that supports and responds to the needs of marginalised groups and individuals – maximising access and participation in the creative process.

Who we work with

Some participants come to us through referrals from social services, health services or other statutory and voluntary agencies. Others come to us directly.

We have an open and inclusive policy – people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities have enjoyed our workshops, and no experience is necessary to take part in any of our projects.

We are happy to work with anyone who may benefit from our workshops and events, but in particular our work tends to focus on those in society who are marginalised, isolated or disadvantaged by living in poverty and deprivation, affected by disability, caring for others, older age ill health and mental ill health.

Some of our workshops are targeted to particular groups – others are open to all.  If you would like to find out more, take a look at our news pages for information about current projects, or contact us.
