BAZOOKA ARTS was established in 2001 by visual artist & designer Bryony Murray, and dramatherapist & theatre artist Zoë Brook.  We work with a team of specialist artists and performers.

Bryony Murray
Artistic Director (Visual Art & Design)
Co-founder of Bazooka Arts, Bryony is responsible for the design, development and delivery of arts projects which encourage personal, social and community development. She has a person centred approach to her work to ensure that each participant gains maximum benefit through creative involvement. She works collaboratively with other professional visual artists, designers, film makers and performers to develop her practice and to enrich the creative experience for participants. Prior to setting up Bazooka Arts, Bryony held the position of Visual Arts Co-ordinator within a large training company which specialised in environmental regeneration projects. Bryony has worked with a range of client groups including adults with learning disabilities, older people affected by age related illness, adults affected by mental ill health, children and young people in formal, informal and community settings. Bryony graduated from Duncan of Jordonstone College Art in 1996 with a First Class Honours degree in design.
Zoe Brook
Artistic Director (Drama & Performance)
Zoe is a theatre practitioner and H.C.P.C registered Dramatherapist. She is passionate about using the transformative effects of drama and creativity to help people. She believes that participatory theatre has a powerful role to play in building positive mental health and well-being, empowering people to make positive changes and in making learning fun and accessible. Zoe has over 18 years’ experience of facilitating theatre workshops and creating shows with children, young people and adults in education, health and community settings. She has led numerous large scale drama and performance arts projects, involving participants in all aspects of theatre and film making. Zoe has an MA (Honours) degree in Politics & Theatre Studies from the University of Glasgow, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dramatherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University. Zoe's work is influenced by her love of Improvised performance, training with Augusto Boal, Michael Chekhov Studio London, International School of Playback Theatre and Improbable Theatre.
Jane Dixon
Project (company) manager
Jane has over 20 years professional experience encompassing finance, administration, marketing, business development and project management gained from working within the arts, small business and voluntary sectors at administrative, management and board level. For Bazooka Arts, Jane deals with administration, managing finances, marketing and fundraising. She has a degree in Fine Art from Coventry School of Art & Design. Jane is a member of the Institute of Administrative Management.
Helena Ohman
Associate Artist
Swedish Filmmaker and Visual Artist Helena studied at Glasgow School of Art and has a MFA from the Royal Institute of Art Stockholm. Her work includes single-channel video works, soundscapes and immersive audio-visual installations. Solo shows include; ‘Object, Reflection and Shadow’ Market Gallery, 2012 and ‘After Burning’ Glasgow Project Room, 2013. her work has been exhibited in UK, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Germany, Japan and Taiwan. Helena has created film and documentaries for Bazooka Arts over past 7 years.
Gayle Robinson
Associate Artist
Gayle is a Fine Art Printmaker. She studied Grays School of Art and has an MA from Duncan of Jordanston college of art. She is currently a practising artist and printmaker and teaches printmaking at the Glasgow Print Studio. She exhibits throughout UK. Awards: John Kinross Scholarship to study and live in Italy. Pizza Express Fine Art Prize for Scotland. Private Collections: Royal Bank of Scotland, Guys Hospital London, Aberdeen Hospital Trust and Paintings in Hospitals, Edinburgh.
Dr Jen Olley
Associate Artist
Jenny is a textile designer and Participatory Arts Specialist. She studied Textiles at Glasgow School of Art and is co-founder of ‘The Studio’ and ‘In The Making’ participatory arts organisations. She has a PHD on Participatory Arts in Practice. Awards Winston Churchill Travel Scholarship.
Charles Donnelly
Associate Artist - Drama
Charlie is a professional theatre and television actor and writer with 30 years’ experience. He trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has performed throughout UK, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Television roles include High Road, Taggart, Greyfriar’s Bobby, Stella Does Tricks. Awards; Best Actor in The 48 Hour Film Project 2015 for “Bert's Christmas Surprise”, Nominated Best Actor in “Someone Who’ll Watch over Me” (BOH Cameronian Awards). Bazooka Arts facilitator, actor and writer.
Beth Marshall
Associate Artist - Drama
Beth trained at Ecole Jacque Lecoq in Paris. She is a professional actor working in theatre, film, radio and television. Her work includes multi award winning shows Yellow Moon by David Grieg and The James Plays by Rona Munro. Regularly performs with The National Theatre of Scotland and The Royal National Theatre. She has worked with Ewan Macgregor, Stanley Baxter, Alex Norton, Blythe Duff and Douglas Henshall. Recent television appearances include Still Game and In Plain Sight.
Jenni Green
Associate Artist - Drama and Dance
Jennie studied at Dance School of Scotland in conjunction with Scottish Ballet before training in Musical Theatre at Arts Educational, London. Musical theatre roles include playing Wendy in Peter Pan for 2 years and principal girl at Glasgow and Edinburgh Kings theatre. Dance highlights include a Ballet duet for Princess Diana at the Royal Albert Hall. Jenni presented Sky One’s live breakfast show before pursuing a T.V. acting career, enjoying a variety of roles, best known for playing “Heather Bellshaw” for six years in “River City ” her most recent role was in BBC drama “Worlds End “. Jenni also teaches dance and drama to adults and children.
